The vision all started in 2006 during a visit to Miami, FL
After visiting the dental program in Davie, FL, Dr. Pavel Ivanov was amused by the diversity and beauty that south Florida had to offer. It was easy to fall in love with Miami. Dr. Pavel Ivanov was selected and accepted in the prestigious NOVA Southeastern University. There he completed his dental school training as well as an additional 2.5-year orthodontic specialty program for one reason, to help people of all ages smile. He has always had a real passion for helping children and adults to get beautiful smiles so that they can reach for and live the life of their dreams.
Unveiling Orthodontic Challenges
Struggles in Multispecialty Practices Revealed
The problem was, once he got into working in corporate dentistry as well as providing orthodontic services in dental multispecialty practices (aka all dentistry under one roof), he realized that his patients were not getting the best orthodontic care and service, which they deserved. He struggled with the current model for dental corporations and dental multi-specialty practices, which commonly included orthodontists visiting the practice once or twice a month, patients waiting to see him for weeks, difficulty in reaching him for emergencies, long waiting times, common shortage of staff, sudden decisions from upper management to start changing staff including current doctors, leading to unpredictability for patients and their smiles.

A Personal Mission
The reason he pursued an orthodontic specialty was to help people smile and he knew the current model was in a need of big improvement. Therefore, he set out to find a way to change that and the model he created allows patients to call his practice whenever they need help without having to think about or worry about being pushed aside and receiving less than the best possible orthodontic care.

A Strategic Decision
After further consideration, he confirmed that Miami would be an ideal fit with its multi-cultural charm, positivity, and hunger for expansion. Miami itself is a massive city but selecting a location for each dental clinic was no easy task. The location of IVANOV Orthodontics is in rapidly growing area as well as an area that is focused on family living.
